1. Introduction of ETF IPAAM VN100 Fund

The IPAAM VN100 ETF was licensed by the State Securities Commission for an initial public offering under license number 100/GCN-UBCK on July 28, 2021.

The IPAAM VN100 ETF was formed from swapping the structured equity portfolio for fund certificates, was listed and traded on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

The objective of the IPAAM VN100 ETF is the closest simulation of the VN100 Index.

2. Benchmark Index

VN100 Index is a market index built by HOSE, including 100 leading Vietnamese stocks with high market capitalization and liquidity listed on HOSE. The VN100 index represents about 85% of the market capitalization of Vietnam’s stock market.

3. Investment Strategy

  • About investment strategy: The ETF applies a passive investment strategy, with the goal of simulating the growth of the Benchmark Index. While an open-ended fund adopts an active investment strategy, the fund manager will actively select securities to achieve investment objectives.
  • About trading methods: ETFs are traded on both primary and secondary markets. In the primary market, ETFs issue fund certificates directly to investors who need to trade in large lots, each lot is 100,000 fund certificates. In the secondary market, an ETF is listed and traded like a common stock on the Stock Exchange.
